Madi and Joey

Rylee and Madi have been lifelong friends. They met as kids playing soccer for the Cosmos and later became freshman roommates in Walker Tower at the University of Oklahoma. Through every milestone and chapter of life, their bond has only grown stronger. Now, they’re experiencing another huge milestone together, as they’re both engaged at the same time. Madi can always count on Rylee to be the life of the party and to bring the fun to all the wedding festivities!

Maddie Prichett

Maddie was Madi's first friend in college, where they were sorority sisters in Alpha Phi. Their friendship grew quickly and fiercely, making them truly inseparable. Maddie and Madi share everything—not just a name but also Joey when they hang out as a trio. Whether they’re traveling together or simply watching reality TV at home, the Madi's always have the best time! Maddie is always up to date on the latest fashion and design trends. She even worked as an event planner previously, so Madi will be taking full advantage of her expertise throughout the wedding planning process.

Allie Gordon

Allie and Madi met as kids playing soccer for the Cosmos. They remained friends over the years but became especially close after college, conquering the "real world" together in OKC. They have the best time being spontaneous and can turn anything into a fun adventure. Allie is Madi's hardest friend to say "no" to, which has led to countless adventures over the years! Wedding weekends can bring a mix of emotions, but one thing Madi knows for sure is that Allie will always be there to provide entertainment and laughter when it’s needed most.

Katie Buckley

Katie is Joey's older sister and quickly became one of Madi's best friends. Katie and Madi enjoy playing mahjong, trying new workout classes, and bonding over their shared love of The Real Housewives of NJ. They live just five minutes apart and rarely go more than a week without seeing each other. Plus, it’s a major bonus that they get to go on family trips together! Katie is still trying to score an invitation to the honeymoon with Madi and Joey, but they’ve politely declined her offer. While the honeymoon may be off-limits, having Katie at the wedding is an absolute must—her fun personality and genuine heart will make her an unforgettable part of the celebration!

Erin Brandse

Erin is Joey's younger sister and one of Madi's best friends. They bonded from the moment they met at Joey's 21st birthday in Norman, and their fun has only grown over the years. Erin and Madi share endless laughs and love a good gossip session—especially when they send the boys off to play golf. Erin got married two years ago and truly loves being the center of attention, a role she fully embraced over the past few years. However, now she will have to step aside and let Madi enjoy her moment in the spotlight. Erin is the chief of morale in the Buckley family and will proudly carry that title into the wedding celebrations as well!

Olivia Fidler

Olivia and Madi met at the University of Oklahoma, where they were sorority sisters and grew even closer while dating fraternity brothers at the same time. The biggest difference between them is their nearly one-foot height difference, but they share just about everything else in common. One key shared interest is their mutual love of a Ketel One dirty martini (extra dirty for Liv), and they plan to enjoy plenty of those throughout the wedding festivities!

Morgan Glass

Morgan and Madi met at the University of Oklahoma, where they were sorority sisters in Alpha Phi. Morgan has a heart of gold and a sense of humor to match. Although they don’t get to see each other as often these days, every time they’re together, it feels as if no time has passed, and the laughter is endless. Morgan has never met a stranger, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself making a new best friend in her. Keep an eye out for Morgan on the dance floor on the wedding night—her dance moves are truly one of a kind!

Mallory Brurud

Mallory was Madi's first official Colorado friend and has been her rock over the past three years since moving to Denver. They have a history of being dragged to sports bars with all the guys, but that never stops them from sneaking in girl chats in the corner and bonding over their shared upbringing in Oklahoma. On a typical Friday night, you can usually find them at a local dive bar, with Mallory showing off her dart skills! Unfortunately, there won’t be any dartboards at the wedding, but Madi is still holding out hope that Mallory will show off her singing skills.

Peter Buckley

Best Man

Peter is Joey's only brother and was a shoe in for Joey's Co-Best Man. Peter is excited about some of the Best Man responsibilities and has been writing Madi and Joey's wedding speech for years, however he has passed on the bachelor party planning to his counterpart, Davis. Peter and Joey have a lot of differences, but thankfully they can bond over Star Wars and golf, two of Joey's favorite things!

Davis McDonald

Best Man

Davis and Joey grew up together and have remained best friends throughout the years. They were even freshman year roommates at the University of Oklahoma, and somehow that wasn’t enough for them—they ended up living together for another three and a half years after college. Davis and Joey are practically brothers, and sometimes they do argue... but it’s always in good fun! Their bond is unshakable, and they’ve shared countless memories together and have many more to come.

Mason Goforth

Mason is Madi's brother and soon-to-be brother-in-law to Joey. Mason previously lived in Parker, CO, about 30 minutes from Madi and Joey's house, which led to plenty of Buckley and Goforth family bonding. Fortunately, Mason and Joey share a mutual love for two of their favorite teams: Avalanche hockey and OU football. A special highlight is that Mason has three kids, all of whom will be part of the wedding as well.

Grant Evans

Grant and Joey have known each other since they were little kids, before Grant moved to enemy territory in Austin, Texas. Thankfully, Grant moved back to Colorado in middle school, and their friendship picked up right where it left off. Grant is Joey's "yes" friend, always up for anything—which has led to plenty of adventures and a fair share of trouble over the years. Whether it's a casual round of golf or staying up until 4 a.m. solving the world's problems, Grant is always the first to say, “Let’s do it!” 

Jack Durham

Jack and Joey are lifelong friends, though their friendship had a rocky start despite their moms' efforts to force it. Every childhood hangout came with one guarantee—someone would end up in tears (usually Joey). Watching any football game with Jack or Joey, especially together, is sure to involve some intense screaming and fiery passion. Joey describes Jack as the most loyal friend anyone could have and knows he can always count on him, no matter what.

Blake Nance

 Blake and Joey met during their first week of college at a Lambda rush event, where they both immediately decided they’d rather be FIJIs (sorry, Davis). Joey describes Blake as “one of a kind” and knows there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. Both are foodies and love sharing food recommendations, though most Fridays, you’ll find them at Twin Peaks, chowing down on chicken wings. Thankfully, they both decided to live in Denver after college, which has only strengthened their lifelong friendship!

Philip Lee

Philip and Joey have been buddies since they were young, playing golf together throughout the years. You would most likely find Philip and Joey together at any given time either in the Men's Grill at Cherry Hills or playing endless games of Gin at one of their houses (which are approximately 3 minutes apart from one another). Regardless, if you see these two and wonder what they are talking about, it is probably about golf, sports, or gambling! Despite Philip giving Joey 17 strokes on the golf course, Joey still can't manage to beat Philip.

Hugh Fleming

Hugh and Joey met as kids; however, their friendship truly flourished in high school, quickly becoming best friends during their freshman year at Arapahoe High School. The Fleming household was the go-to spot for any high school meet-up, leading to countless memories in Hugh's basement. Hugh is Joey's most easygoing friend, and it’s impossible for the two of them not to have a good time when they’re together!

Jake Van Hooser

Jake and Joey met at OU, where they were FIJIs together. They both share a mutual love for golf and make sure to go on at least one golf trip a year (they say it’s non-negotiable). Joey describes Jake as having a heart of gold and knows he will be by his side no matter what life throws their way. Jake is the perfect third wheel with Madi and Joey because he can talk sports with Joey while still being able to gossip with Madi. Whether it’s on the golf course or hanging out, Jake always knows how to keep the good times rolling.

Ben Brandse

Ben is married to Joey's youngest sister, Erin, and over the years, Ben and Joey have grown closer, most likely due to Ben becoming more passionate about golf. Ben claims he has beaten Joey in golf before, but Joey refuses to admit that. Joey couldn’t have picked anyone better to be his "second brother," and their bond continues to strengthen with every round of golf and shared experience.

David Trimble

David and Joey met at a summer rush event for FIJI, where David immediately poked fun at Joey for his Batman sleeping mask, which he insisted on wearing each night in front of 50 strangers. David and Joey quickly became best friends and even shared a bathroom during their junior and senior years of college. Their friendship is built on a foundation of making fun of each other, competing on the golf course, and always having each other's backs. It's lucky that Madi's family still lives in OKC, and David will always be the first person Joey texts when he gets to town.

Thomas Glieber

Thomas and Joey met at the University of Oklahoma, where they were fraternity brothers in FIJI. Thomas and his dad invited Joey on a golf trip during their junior year of college, which has now led to their annual father-son golf trip every year. Although Thomas lives in Dallas and Joey lives in Denver, they still talk almost every day. Thomas may seem shy when you first meet him, but underneath that, he is truly one of the funniest people and best friends you could ever have!

Kellan Onuscheck

Kellan and Joey met in FIJI at the University of Oklahoma. Kellan is the life of the party and always knows how to make any situation more enjoyable. He’s the kind of friend who’ll bring a smile to your face no matter the occasion, and there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. Kellan was actually Madi and Joey's first houseguest in their new house, and as a fun housewarming gift, Kellan decided to leave his snowboard in their garage for 9 months- which they ultimately had to ship back to him.

JD Robinson

JD and Joey met in college and lived together in FIJI during their sophomore year. JD and his girlfriend Olivia are key reasons why this wedding is even happening, as they were the ones who introduced Madi and Joey to each other. Joey would describe JD as loyal and low-key, with their personalities truly complementing each other. Joey says to this day that JD is the best college roommate he ever had (sorry, Davis).

Pete Hamrick

Pete and Joey were fraternity brothers at the University of Oklahoma. Although they weren’t very close during their freshman year, Joey went out on a limb and asked Pete to live in their "14-man" house, and Pete agreed. Throughout their time living together, they grew closer and still talk every day. Pete and Joey share a strong bond over all their "nerdy" interests—Star Wars, Batman, and baseball analytics. Pete has been there for Joey every step of the way.
